Dr. Victor Gensini is an Associate Professor of Meteorology at Northern Illinois University and principal investigator of ICECHIP, a project on severe weather and climate impacts. A leading voice in forecasting and research, he bridges cutting-edge science with practical application while mentoring the next generation of meteorologists.
Dave Bukowski plays a key role on the Information Technology team at the College of DuPage, where he supports the meteorology program and NEXLAB Weather site by keeping essential systems running. He is also active in emergency management and severe weather spotter training, blending technology with public safety. His efforts ensure that students, faculty, and the community are equipped to prepare for and respond to hazardous weather.
Ron Stenz is a Professor of Meteorology at the College of DuPage with decades of expertise in weather analysis, field observation, and student mentorship. A seasoned storm chaser and skilled forecaster, he is known for his approachable teaching style and for helping students connect classroom learning with real-world meteorology.
Eric Nelson is a meteorologist with the U.S. Army at the West Desert Test Center in Utah, providing critical forecasts for military testing. He supported NASA’s OSIRIS-REx mission with weather guidance for its Utah desert landing and continues to share his expertise with future meteorologists as a College of DuPage graduate.
Paul Sirvatka has taught meteorology at the College of DuPage for over 35 years, pioneering the storm chasing program and founding NEXLAB Weather, a trusted source for real-time data. Honored with the AMS Edward N. Lorenz Teaching Excellence Award, he is known for making complex concepts clear and inspiring the next generation of meteorologists.
Mike Zuranski is a meteorological data engineer at the College of DuPage, managing weather data for the NEXLAB Weather site and classroom use. With expertise in NOAAPort, Unidata’s LDM, and modern data systems, he ensures reliable real-time access for students, faculty, and forecasters, and is recognized as a trusted resource in the meteorological community.
Gilbert Sebenste is a meteorologist and systems administrator at the College of DuPage, where he supports IT operations that power the meteorology program and NEXLAB Weather. With expertise in both technology and severe weather, he helps ensure reliable access to critical resources for students and faculty.
Evan Anderson has been the web developer for NEXLAB Weather since 2011, combining experience in meteorology, storm chasing, and forecasting. A former standout student and FAA Weather Observer at O’Hare, he specializes in web design and user experience (UX), bringing technical expertise and usability insight to the development of the site.
